Effective June 4th, 2018, attorney and business executive Heather Russell began her tenure with TransUnion. Earlier this year, the company announced her appointment as Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President.

Her previous experience as a legal expert for over 20 years was in a wealth of wide and diversified areas of expertise. She has worked on global issues with a focus on data privacy and security in the consumer financial service sector, Heather Russell also has a diverse background in governmental regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. Her new position will make her responsible for TransUnion consumer security compliance as well as all of the TransUnion subsidiaries.
Immediately prior to her new position at TransUnion, Heather Russell served at Buckley Sandler, LLP. At this law firm, she held the positions of Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President. She also has a vast amount of experience within the financial industry, having worked with numerous financial institutions including Fifth Third Bank and Bank of New York Mellon. Heather also served as associate general counsel when she served with Bank of America. As a student of law, Heather earned a JD from American University’s Washington College of Law. She also attended the College of William & Mary, and earned her BA degree.
